Urban Meyer attended last night's Pennsylvania Class AAA state final last night with an eye on
Bishop McDevitt (Harrisburg, Pa.) defensive end
Noah Spence, according to MaxPreps correspondent Joseph Santoloquito.
Meyer's visit was on the eve of Spence's visit to Columbus. Spence is currently visiting Ohio State with Meyer as his tour guide, according to Santoloquito.
Another recruit that caught Meyer's eye on Friday was
Archbishop Wood's (Warminster, Pa.) Desmon Peoples, verbally committed to Rutgers.
Meyer asked Peoples how firmly he was committed to Rutgers, expressing interest in the 5-foot-8, 170-pound Peoples, who rushed for 151 yards and two scores to
lead Archbishop Wood to victory.
Meyer's pursuit of Spence is in line with his desire to
stockpile talent on the defensive line.
