stunned No. 22 Cass Tech (Detroit, Mich.)

Defensively, St. Mary limited standout sophomore Jayru Campbell
, who threw one touchdown pass to Jourdan Lewis
but was otherwise held in check.
"Our defense was outstanding tonight," St. Mary head coach George Porritt told The Oakland Press
. "All facets were working well. Our line, our linebackers, and our secondary were all great. It's fun to watch these kids go out and play like that."
The loss for Cass Tech was the team's first setback since a 14-9 loss to Crockett Tech on Oct. 15 of last season.
Cass Tech will try to rebound next week against Ford. St. Mary improves to 4-1 and will travel to take on Brother Rice next week.
