In June, Scarbrough, an Alabama commit, transferred from Northridge (Tuscaloosa, Ala.)
to Tuscaloosa County (Northport, Ala.)
. He told reporters then he transferred to Tuscaloosa for academic reasons. 247Sports.com confirmed with Scarbrough's mother that indeed her son will be attending the renowned sports academy, which for years was associated with country club sports.
Over the last decade, IMG Academy has branched into mainstream sports of baseball and most recently football.
IMG had 29 players during spring practice and starts its first season Aug. 24 versus Palm Beach Lakes (West Palm Beach, Fla.)

Scarbrough is a big reason why Alabama has the No. 1 recruiting class in the country
thus far, but many Crimson Tide fans seem to be worried about him switching college destinations — to perhaps either Florida or Florida State.
Scarbrough — and his mother — told reporters he is rock, solid firm on his commitment to Alabama. The transfer to IMG might help with any academic eligibility issues Scarbrough might face.
