The 6-foot-7, 275-pound offensive tackle from
San Clemente (Calif.) picked the Cardinal over Pacific-12 rival USC.
According to CBS/MaxPreps recruiting expert Tom Lemming, Murphy didn't allow a sack either his sophomore and juniors seasons.
Beyond his size and strength he has an impressive 28.3-inch vertical jump.
Murphy is the fifth Top 100 recruit landed by Stanford today.
