Nearly 90 of the nation's top boys and girls lacrosse players descended upon Towson University on Saturday, and it was a pair of local products who made the most impact at the 7th annual
Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Classic.
Taylor Cummings of
McDonogh (Owings Mills, Md.) and
Gordie Koerber of
Gilman (Baltimore) were selected the MVPs of the girls and boys games, respectively, in leading their South teams to victory. Each game featured 44 senior All-Americans who were selected by
Inside Lacrosse magazine. All have signed to play at Division I programs this fall.

"It was just really a team effort," Cummings told
The Baltimore Sun. "Girls were moving for each other. We were passing when they were open and I think we worked really well as a team, which is why everyone was so successful."
In addition to Cummings, attacker
Kelci Smesko of
Ridgewood (N.J.) broke the record for goals scored with five, while McDonogh's
