, ranked No. 18 in the nation
by CBS/MaxPreps recruiting analyst Tom Lemming, will miss his entire senior year of football and basketball, according to the Carlisle Sentinel.
The 6-foot-5, 230-pound senior tight end from Cedar Cliff (Camp Hill, Pa.)
tore the ACL in his right knee during a 7-on-7 scrimmage last week and will have surgery in the near future.
Breneman, who jumped to catch a pass and landed awkwardly, told the Sentinel, "I felt something shift or pop. I knew right away that something was wrong ... I think that if I put in the work and rehab that I'll come back."
He had an outstanding junior year, catching 72 passes for 1,120 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Already committed to Penn State University, he conceded, "I'm sure my ranking will drop. But I'll go to Penn State and prove that I'm the No. 1 tight end in the country."
