Derrick Henry, the No. 11 player in the country according to CBS/MaxPreps recruiting analyst Tom Lemming, has backed off his commitment to the University of Georgia, the Florida Times-Union reported this week.

The rising senior running back from Yulee (Fla.) had committed to Georgia on July 15, 2011, but he has taken recent unofficial visits to Tennessee and Alabama. The 6-foot-3, 240-pound bruiser has rushed for a Jacksonville-area record 7,820 yards during his career.

He told the newspaper, "For me, personally, this is one of the biggest decisions I'll make in my life and probably the most important to this point. I want to be 100 percent sure I am making the best choice on where I go to college and to play football. I'm going to open up my recruitment and take some more visits, get as much information as I can and then decide from there."

Henry's team will take on Glades Day (Belle Glade, Fla.) and its super running back, Kelvin Taylor, in a nationally televised headliner on Sept. 28.
