Amir Coffey's half-court prayer was answered on Thursday, as the Hopkins (Minnetonka, Minn.) sophomore sank a buzzer beater in quadruple overtime to help lift Hopkins to a dramatic 49-46 victory over Shakopee in the a Minnesota Class AAAA state semifinal game played at the Target Center.

With two seconds remaining and the score knotted 46-46, Coffey took the in bounds pass from under his own hoop.

With a defender in pursuit, he dribbled twice and, well behind half court, heaved a desperation attempt that, if unsuccessful, would have sent the game into a fifth overtime.

Somehow, the shot swished in, and Coffey, his teammates and Hopkins fans erupted as Hopkins claimed a stunning 49-46 victory.
