Avery Young signs with Auburn on 2012 National Signing Day

Palm Beach Gardens (Fla.) offensive lineman Avery Young signed with Auburn during a signing ceremony at the school today.

The 6-foot-5, 285-pound standout is the nation's No. 87 recruit, according to MaxPreps and the No. 12 tackle.

Young picked the Tigers over Florida. He also reportedly had offers from Alabama, Florida State, Miami, Michigan, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.

Interestingly, the official Georgia website had Young listed among its signees hours before he put ink to paper, although the school later said a publishing error was the reason.

Young is distinguished by his quickness off the ball and his ability to sustain his blocks and get to the second level when necessary.
