It turns out the University of Washington had little reason to worry after all.

As reported via Twitter by Ryan Casey of The Denver Post, Miles signed his National Letter of Intent this afternoon, ending a day of speculation about where the
No. 6 dual-threat QB would play next season, although he didn't decide until 45 minutes before the announcement.
According to tweets posted by Casey early today, Miles did not show up for Mullen's scheduled signing party for its student-athletes this morning. Southern California had entered the picture after a late push, as had Auburn and Florida, according to Casey.
Teammates told the Post that Miles was reconsidering the Huskies because offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier left in late January for Alabama. Washington hired Eric Kiesau to replace him. The teammates also said it was possible that Miles would not make a decision today, but he no doubt thrilled Huskies supporters with his later-than-planned announcement.
The 6-foot-4, 215 pound Miles passed for 1,354 yards and 14 touchdowns this season in leading Mullen to the Class 5A state quarterfinals. He was the selected the co-MVP at the recent U.S. Army All-American Bowl after completing 7 of 8 passes for 155 yards and a touchdown. Miles also rushed for a score in the game.
Mullen had two other Division I football signings, as defensive lineman
Tyler Henington signed with Colorado and offensive lineman
Arthur (Beto) Flores committed to San Diego State.
