Carl Lawson is firmly committed to Auburn.

Auburn scored a major recruiting victory on Sunday when Georgia defensive end Carl Lawson announced on Twitter that he was shutting down his recruitment and would be signing with the Tigers.

The 6-foot-3, 245-pound defensive end is rated the No. 24 recruit in the country by 247Sports.com.

In the wake of decommitments from fellow top recruits Dee Liner and Reuben Foster, it appeared a once promising Auburn recruiting class could be on the verge of also losing Lawson, who flirted with Clemson and Tennessee before deciding to stick with Auburn.

Now, the Tigers will try to finish with an incredible flurry that could include Foster, MacKensie Alexander as well as longshots Montravius Adams and Elijah Daniel, both of whom visited Auburn over the weekend.

Auburn's class is ranked No. 17 nationally according to 247Sports.com.
