The Duncanville (Texas) girls basketball team defeated Cedar Hill (Texas) 51-30 on Friday to stretch its two-year winning streak to 48 games.

The defending Class 5A state champions, who returned three starters, won their 20th straight game this season with a 14-2 spurt during the third quarter. Two steals and two blocked shots helped the Pantherettes play shut-down defense during that dominating period. Duncanville finished with 15 steals.

According to myduncanville.com, the Southern Methodist University signee Kiara Perry set the pace with 18 points while adding six rebounds and five steals. Ariel Atkins added 17 points, seven rebounds and six steals.
