There was something in the Minnesota air this weekend. Two state championship games were decided by last-second buzzer beaters, and both came from about 15 feet.
Ian Theisen was the hero who
hit a last second shot to lift
Osseo (Minn.) to a 4A title.
In the 3A title game, it was
Ross Barker's turn to be the star.
DeLaSalle (Minneapolis) trailed Washburn 56-55 with 0.7 seconds left when teammate
Tyler Moore found Barker alone on the baseline.
That's when the senior guard hit the biggest shot of his life.
After the shot went in the crowd erupted and the players mobbed Barker on the same floor where Kevin Love and the Timberwolves play their home games.
What a night for those in attendance at the Target Center.
