Quinn Cook

Josh Barr of The Washington Post reported some tough news Tuesday for elite point guard Quinn Cook and Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, Va.).

The 2009-10 Washington, D.C. All-Met Player of the Year while at DeMatha (Hyattsville, Md.), Cook injured his right knee Saturday in the Elite 24 showcase game in Venice, Calif.

According to Barr, Cook had the knee examined Tuesday and was waiting to learn the results.

The injury could put his senior season at Oak Hill Academy in doubt. With Cook, the Warriors were in contention for the national preseason No. 1 ranking.

The 6-foot guard – ranked No. 12 in MaxPreps.com's 2011 Top 100 – is considering Duke, Arizona, UCLA and Rutgers.
