Jarrett Mathison had a big night on a big stage.

The junior tallied two rushing touchdowns, intercepted two passes, and caught four passes for 30 yards for Marine City (Mich.) in the Division 4 title game.

He also had one of the best kick returns ever at Ford Field.

Mathison returned the kickoff from Grand Rapids South Christian to begin the second half. He fielded the ball cleanly as three teammates swarmed him from various directions, pretending to receive the ball from Mathison.

All four broke loose, running as if they were carrying the football.

Mathison kept the ball himself, broke some tackles, and sprinted down the right sideline for an improbable touchdown.

The play is similar to one that Steve Spurrier called back during his tenure as the head coach at Florida.
