of Chester (Pa.)
is one of the top forwards in the class of 2013. The 6-foot-7, 200-pound high-flier is ranked No. 49 overall in the MaxPreps Top 100
and the No. 5 small forward in his class by 247Sports. Jefferson has signed to play basketball with Arizona next year.
Jefferson has separated himself in a basketball-wild area by utilizing his extreme versatility for a player his size. His ball-handling skills and court vision combine with his scoring ability to make him a dangerous weapon on the court.
Despite his tremendous basketball talent, Jefferson says that basketball always comes second to his work in the classroom. Whenever he can, Jefferson, who has a 3.2 GPA, gives the message to younger kids that it is possible to excel as an athlete and a student if they put in the work.
Jefferson has gained support from his mother, Rylanda Hollis, who encourages him to take care of his education.
"I protect Rondae's dream by making sure he understands that your education will get you somewhere in life," she said.
Jefferson has embraced his position as a role model in the community, and hopes to one day play in the NBA.
