of Jordan (Sandy, Utah)
and Tyler Keane
of Myrtle Beach (S.C.)
each threw for 8 touchdowns Friday and tied their respective state records in the process.
Kafentzis reportedly threw for 383 yards and eight touchdowns in a little more than a half of play in a 56-0 win over Copper Hills. Kafentzis ties the Utah state record, set by Alex Hart, also of Jordan, in 2009 against Taylorsville.
Keane, meanwhile, had 535 yards and eight touchdown passes in a 56-55 win over Conway, according to a tweet out by the Rock Hill Herald. Keane ties the marks held by Anthony Johnson of Byrnes and J.D. Melton of Myrtle Beach.
