Jaydon Mickens, the three-star athlete and the No. 129th top recruit nationally according to MaxPreps.com, has joined a number of standouts in the last 24 hours to commit to Washington.
The 5-foot-11, 170-pounder from
Dorsey (Los Angeles, Calif.), picked the Huskies over Oklahoma State, Arizona State, UCLA and Cal.
Top 100 recruits
Shaq Thompson, a safety back from
Grant (Sacramento, Calif.) and
Jordan Peyton, a wide receiver from
Oaks Christian (Westlake Village, Calif.), flipped previous commitments to Cal and pledged to Washington in the last 24 hours.
Washington is trying to crack the nation's
top 25 recruiting classes. Even if the Huskies don't crack that barrier, it sure is hurting Cal's class, which has dropped to 13th.
