Michael Irvin Jr. wears No. 88 just like his father.

Four years ago, the sons of Barry Sanders and Deion Sanders took the high school football world by storm.

This fall, the progeny of Michael Irvin and Randy Moss are making their mark.

The sons of two of the greatest receivers the sport of football has ever seen are both contributing on the varsity level for their respective teams.

Michael Irvin Jr. is a 6-foot-2, 195-pound receiver for Prestonwood Christian (Plano, Texas), which is currently unbeaten. He caught a pair of passes in each of his first two games and also contributes on special teams.

Irvin Jr. also wears the very familiar No. 88 jersey. Tim Irvin, a sophomore at Westminster Christian (Miami), is his cousin.

Interestingly, Thad Moss also dons the No. 84 jersey, the same as his father. He checks in a 6-2, 210 pounds and lines up at tight end for Boone County (Florence, Ky.).

On Saturday against Male, Moss hauled in his first career touchdown grab.

While Michael Irvin starred at receiver for St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.), Randy Moss was one of the greatest high school athletes of all time, starring in football, basketball and track for now-defunct DuPont High in West Virginia.
