The rebuilt St. Anthony (Jersey City, N.J.) boys basketball team, boasting an air-tight defense, refuses to lose.

Hall of Fame coach Bob Hurley's Friars posted their 81st consecutive victory by beating Long Island Lutheran (Brookville, N.Y.) 52-45  to win the championship in the SNY Invitational at City College of New York. Hallice Cooke scored a game-high 22 points - including six 3-pointers - to earn MVP honors.

The Friars defeated Boys and Girls (Brooklyn, N.Y.) 43-28 in the semifinals as Cooke scored 12 points. They pulled away from a close game with a 25-13 second half.

Earlier in the week they posted a 54-41 victory over Each One Teach One Academy.
