Covering High School Sports in America
The Moore Catholic (Staten Island, N.Y.) girls basketball team doubled its pleasure on a trip to Florida.

The players already were enjoying their visit to Lake Buena Vista, Fla., home of Disney World.

However, Division I guards Jamie O'Hare and Christina Rubin added to the festivities by each scoring her 1,000th career point during a 68-29 rout of Ransom Everglades (Miami, Fla.) in the KSA Classic at Disney's Wide World of Sports complex.

Rubin, an Iona recruit, needed 26 points to reach the magical milestone and she finished with 28. O'Hare scored just eight points before being taken out due to the lopsided score, and that was exactly what the Lafayette-bound point guard needed to reach 1,000.

They were rewarded with commemorative basketballs, flowers and a paid visit to Disney World.
