Tiapepe Vitale, De La Salle

De La Salle (Concord, Calif.) beat Livermore (Calif.) 57-0 after a strong game from Tiapepe Vitale, who rushed for four touchdowns. The scores gave the senior 10 touchdowns for the year.

After taking the lead on a punt return touchdown by Allan Marion in the first quarter, the Vitale and the Spartans continued to dominate, rolling to a 43-0 at the half.

De La Salle expanded its lead to 50 points entering the fourth quarter thanks to a Anthony Talaugon touchdown run.

With the win the Concord school extended its winning streak to five games. The Spartans defeated the Matadors 48-14 last week.

The Spartans have not lost to a Northern California opponent since Dec. 7, 1991.

De La Salle (5-0) will play a Freelance game against Foothill next week, while Livermore (2-3) will take on Amador Valley in a East Bay game.
