Colorado will lose a basketball coaching legend at the end of this season, according to the Denver Post.
.
On Tuesday, Dick Katte, who will turn 76 in June, announced that this will be his last campaign at
Denver Christian. In his 48th year as head coach, Katte has won a state-record 864 games and seven state championships. His Crusaders currently boast a perfect 16-0 record.
Katte told the Post, "It's time. I didn't want to stay too long and get into another season when maybe I should have done it. I didn't want to get into another year and maybe not enjoy it as much.... And here's what I told the players: I don't want this to be a distraction for you. And that's as plain as I can say it."

Bain replaces Mike Campisi, who posted a 32-year record of 534-91-60, winning two national and six New York public school state titles.
