Dee Liner was all smiles during a press conference today as he announced he'll play for Alabama.

The 6-foot-3, 255-pound Liner was once verbally committed to Auburn, but reopened his recruitment in January, and signed his National Letter of Intent today.

For his size, Liner is remarkably quick.

"His quickness off the ball is what sets him apart from the rest of the nation's top DT prospects," said Tom Lemming.

Along with Tim Williams, Darius Page and Jonathan Allen, he forms a group of defensive line recruits that is among the finest in the country.

He's also the second major defensive recruit once committed to Auburn to join the Crimson Tide, as linebacker Reuben Foster made the switch on Monday night.

Liner finished his career with a whopping 264 tackles.
