Defensive tackle Anthony Johnson
and running back Kenny Hilliard
can't officially sign with LSU until Wednesday, but both highly ranked All-State players have enrolled at LSU for the spring semester and are taking classes.
Johnson, rated 12th by MaxPreps and recently named Louisiana's Mr. Football, graduated early from O.P. Walker (New Orleans). Hilliard, rated 13th, did the same from Patterson. Hilliard, the nephew of former LSU and New Orleans Saints standout Dalton Hilliard, rushed for 1,944 yards and 22 touchdowns last fall. Johnson and Kenny Hilliard are expected to participate in spring practice starting March 11.
In addition to Johnson and Hilliard, LSU is expected to sign Redemptorist (Baton Rouge) offensive lineman La'el Collins
, rated seventh overall. Evangel Christian Academy (Shreveport) defensive lineman Jermauria Rasco
remains undecided, but the 49th-ranked prospect is thought to be leaning toward LSU. Evangel Christian defensive coordinator Byron Dawson is a former LSU player.
