Covering High School Sports in America
Most high school coaches are giving people, especially generous with their time and talent.

Humble (Texas) head coach Charles West's generosity seemingly knows no bounds, as he'll soon be parting with a kidney for the sake of a loved one.

According to Jennifer Summer of the Humble Observer, West is set to donate a kidney to his wife and former high school sweetheart, Jennifer.

Jennifer suffers from Lupus and, in August, the couple found out that she would need a kidney transplant.

When it came to finding a donor, Jennifer didn't need to look too far.

"Her mom and dad wanted to donate but couldn't because of their age, our daughter is too young and that leaves the only viable option as me. We were the perfect match; what are the odds of that?" Charles West told The Humble Observer.

Charles will need to take it easy for three weeks. Once he's healed, he'll be back helping turn around the Humble program. He took the program from two wins in 2012 to four wins in 2013.
