Michigan's most prominent football recruit has achieved a rare level of fame for a high schooler: his face is on a billboard.Shane Morris
, the standout quarterback for De La Salle Collegiate (Warren, Mich.)
who has been committed to Michigan since his sophomore season, is one of three students on a billboard advertisement for the private Michigan high school.
According to Morris, the billboard is appearing on Interstate-94 and two other locations.
The 6-foot-4, 203-pound Morris has thrown for 738 yards and six touchdowns this season while battling mononucleosis.
With over 18,000 followers, Morris is the most popular football recruit on Twitter. He's also been an asset to the Wolverines on the recruiting trail, assisting in landing the No. 4 recruiting class.
Private schools have long been aware that a successful athletic program can benefit both the admissions and development offices.
Morris' burgeoning fame as he matriculates to Ann Arbor could provide a lift to both departments at De La Salle Collegiate.
