Paramus Catholic celebrates its state title.

Head coach Chris Partridge's squad responded with a 27-yard touchdown run from Keyon Washington to make it 28-27. In a bold decision, Partridge opted to go for it, and the Paladins converted to make it 29-28 with 3:15 remaining.

Bergen Catholic answered with a Jonathan Germano touchdown run, but failed on its two-point conversion attempt.

That set up Tyrone Washington's heroics which delivered Paramus Catholic its first state title since 1997.

Star junior Jabrill Peppers rushed for two touchdowns in the win. The transfer from Don Bosco Prep is one of the nation's most coveted recruits in the class of 2014.

Paramus Catholic figures to be very strong next fall, as Shenley, Peppers and both Washingtons return next year.
