Jabari Parker will make his college decision Dec. 20, then concentrate on helping Simeon win its fourth state title in a row.

Simeon (Chicago) star forward Jabari Parker will make his highly-anticipated college announcement Dec. 20, a development confirmed to MaxPreps by Wolverine head coach Robert Smith and reported first by Jim Halley of USA Today.

Duke, Michigan State, BYU, Florida and Stanford are all under consideration, but Parker's father Sonny did more than hint at the schools he believes are at the top of the list.

"I think it will probably be be between Duke and Michigan State," Sonny Parker told USA Today. "That's what I'm thinking."

Parker, ranked No. 6 in the MaxPreps Class of 2013 Top 100, is coming off an injury-plagued summer. The Simeon star never quite looked like himself and was shelved in July with a fractured right foot after playing with USA Basketball's U17 team.

The injury has resulted in a touch-and-go beginning to his senior season. Expected to miss Simeon's opener against Milton of Georgia at the Chicago Elite Classic, Parker was a late go and helped the national No. 1 Wolverines to an easy victory.

Parker is one of the most decorated prep basketball players in Illinois history, helping Simeon win three Class 4A state titles in a row. He was a first team MaxPreps All-American pick last season, posting 19.5 points, 8.9 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game in leading the Chicago power to a 32-1 record and No. 4 national ranking.
