Northern Valley (Old Tappan, N.J.) dual-threat quarterback and No. 35-ranked Devin Fuller said Greg Schiano leaving Rutgers for the NFL's Tampa Bay Buccaneers did not have much of an impact on his decision, and Hamilton seemed to lean toward the Scarlet Knights.

Hamilton held together what could be the Scarlet Knights' best recruiting class. St. Peter's Prep (Jersey City, N.J.) tight end Michael Giacone verbally committed to Boston College after a weekend visit there – he had been a Rutgers commit since last July. And New Jersey's top linebacker, No. 109 Quanzell Lambert of Timber Creek Regional (Erial, N.J.), will not sign his National Letter of Intent tomorrow and, according to coach Rob Hinson, will also be considering Iowa and Nebraska.

Some good news for Rutgers is that DePaul (Wayne, N.J.) athlete Davon Jacobs (nephew of New York Giants running back Brandon Jacobs) and Saddle Brook (N.J.) linebacker Steven Longa plan to sign their NLIs tomorrow morning according to NJ.com.

Both No. 91 Don Bosco Prep wide receiver Leonte Carroo and No. 182 Long Branch (N.J.) offensive lineman Ryan Brodie previously reaffirmed their commitments to New Jersey's state university.

The area's other top-ranked uncommitted recruit, No. 107 cornerback Wayne Morgan of Erasmus Hall (Brooklyn, N.Y.), is down to Syracuse, Uconn and Penn State according to syracuse.com – a late entrant which could potentially deepen Syracuse's struggles on the recruiting trail.
