Covering High School Sports in America
This just seems too crazy to be true.

Two teammates from Fargo Davies (N.D.) each tallied a hole-in-one last Wednesday during team tryouts. Want more crazy?

They did it on the same hole, the 140-yard, par-3 fourth hole at Rose Creek Golf Course. Want more crazy?

They both used a 9-iron. Want more crazy?

They both hit their shots well short, but had them bounce off the cart path before rolling into the hole.

Yes, there is plenty of insane/crazy associated with this story, as reported by the West Central Tribune. Freshmen Brandon Winter and Collin Larson took part in the unbelievable occurrence, and their coach, Steve Kennedy, thought he had seen it all.

"In all my 22 years of coaching, I don't know if I've heard anything like that happening," Kennedy said. "I can't recall any of my players ever hitting a hole-in-one in practice or during a tournament. I know some of them had holes-in-one, but never during high school. Then to have two in one day on the same hole, it was exciting."

Larson, who made his first, lost the hole-in-one spotlight within minutes, and figured people were joking when they told him about Winter's shot.

“I didn’t believe them at first,” Larson told the newspaper. “I thought they were messing with me, but I found out it was true when the coaches told me.”

This one is perhaps the most ridiculous occurrence that we've heard of in a long time. If you saw anything similar to this before in high school golf, be sure to share the story in the comments section.
