The 6-foot-5, 270-pound Nkemdiche made a verbal commitment to the Tigers today, joining teammates Wayne Gallman
and David Kamara
Nkemdiche chose Clemson, an Atlantic Coast Conference school, over SEC programs Alabama, LSU, Ole Miss and numerous other offers.
The reigning National Junior of the Year
, Nkemdiche starred on both sides of the ball for Grayson (Loganville, Ga.)
last year, leading the team to a Class AAAAA state title.
This year's team is ranked No. 2 in the MaxPreps Preseason Top 25 High School Football Early Contenders
"Robert is so dominant size and speed-wise," Grayson head coach Mickey Conn told MaxPreps this spring. "The guy could probably walk into an NFL locker room right now and you wouldn't be able to tell him from the others."
