Palm Beach Central (Wellington, Fla.)
junior offensive lineman K.C. McDermott
committed to Miami today, as first reported by SFHS Sports, but the player's father and other media reports tell a different story.
The Sun Sentinel, referencing the Palm Beach Post, reports the 6-foot-6, 285-pound tackle will be making an announcement at his school Tuesday, per his father. Word from WQAM radio was that McDermott committed after taking in a Miami practice this week.
McDermott has offers from virtually every top program, but it appears to be down to Notre Dame and Miami, or just Miami if the preliminary reports are true.
McDermott is the No. 31-ranked recruit in the country according to 247Sports. He earned MaxPreps Sophomore All-American
and Junior All-American
honors over the last two seasons.
Miami's Class of 2014 already features Central (Miami)
running back Joseph Yearby.
