The South Bend tribune reported today that the University of Notre Dame football team has received a commitment from one of the nation's premier running backs, Greg Bryant of American Heritage (Delray Beach, Fla.).

The powerful 5-foot-11, 196-pound senior, who runs 40 yards in a swift 4.48 seconds, gained 1,500 yards and scored 17 touchdowns this year. He is the 23rd pledge to Notre Dame's 2013 class.

He is ranked as the No. 2 running back in the Class of 2013 and is the No. 31 recruit overall.

Bryant is being called the best big running back to choose Notre Dame since Julius Jones, according to Tom Lemming. He also had considered Auburn and South Carolina after decommitting from Oklahoma in July.
