Covering High School Sports in America

From Saturday night deep in the heart of central Washington, Grandview on a fast break with a shot to win in the final seconds of the game and ... this happened.

The ball stayed right there as time expired. That sent the Greyhounds into overtime with Central Washington Athletic Conference rival Prosser, where they would prevail 72-70.

The video captures the final 16.2 seconds of the contest as Grandview turns a steal into a Bryce Carpenter layup opportunity that will go down as one of the wackiest plays of the year in high school basketball.

Grandview is 10-0 on the season and a perennial power in Washington boys hoops, winning state titles in 1989, 1990 and 2002.
