Penny Hardaway's Hoopfest highlights weekend

The Spartan Palace at White Station High School in Memphis, Tenn., will host Penny Hardaway's Hoopfest Friday and Saturday.

The event features five nationally-ranked teams and is headlined by a Saturday night showdown between No. 7 Simeon (Chicago) and No. 9 Southwind (Memphis).

No. 10 Ridgeway (Memphis) is the other Xcellent 25 team in the Hoopfest field. Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, Va.) and Montverde Academy (Montverde, Fla.) – both ranked in MaxPreps.com's Academy Top 10 – will also participate.
