South Plantation (Plantation, Fla.) quarterback Erin DiMeglio took the field for the first time this season in Friday's 31-14 win against Nova (Davie, Fla.). Dimeglio is believed to be the first girl to play quarterback in a Florida regular season high school game.

The 5-foot-6, 160-pound senior made the roster this fall as a back-up quarterback. She entered a pre-season game against Seminole Ridge (Fla.) and played what proved to be the final series because it was halted by lightning.
