Saniya Chong

Ossining (N.Y.) standout Saniya Chong certainly knows how to make an impression in front of the nation's top college basketball coaches.

As reported by The Journal News, Chong averaged 40 points in six games while playing for her club team – the Hudson River Breeze - at the Blue Chip USA Invitational this past weekend.

The newspaper reported Chong scored 53 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as UConn coach Geno Auriemma looked on during one of the games. This past season, the 5-foot-9 point guard averaged more than 33 points, 9.7 assists, 5.2 rebounds and 5 steals in leading Ossining to a 23-1 record.

She reportedly has Louisville, Maryland, Ohio State and UConn on her short list of schools.

"I told her wherever she goes, she can't make a bad decision — they're all four great schools," Ossining and Hudson River Breeze coach Dan Ricci told the newspaper.
