New Florida commit Alex Anzalone

It's early January, the Bowl season is over, the Oscar nominations are in. We all know what follows.

De-commitment city.

The latest is of the strange variety and comes from Wyomissing (Pa.) linebacker Alex Anzalone, who evidently has had enough of the Brian Kelly to – fill in the blank – talk.

According to various reports, Anzalone has flipped from Notre Dame and Thursday enrolled at Florida. The 6-foot-3, 232-pound standout, who is one of the top linebackers from Pennsylvania, had originally committed to Ohio State before picking the Irish.

Anzalone apparently had another change of heart after hearing that Kelly had interviewed with the Philadelphia Eagles. He wasn't that bothered by Notre Dame's decisive loss to Alabama on Monday. At least that's what he told on Tuesday.

"It was tough to watch," Anzalone told "I don't think it will have any impact on recruiting … I texted all the commits last night saying that this isn't going to happen to us again because we're going to be on a mission from day one."

The following day, he told the same website: "I'm not going to Notre Dame. I'm enrolling at Florida tomorrow."

Let the flipping begin.
