A 70-year-old girls high school basketball coach from King (Detroit, Mich.) shot two would-be robbers, one fatally, in a shocking incident that unfolded outside of the school on Friday night.

According to Action 7 News, the coach was walking two female players to their car in the school parking lot, when two men approached the trio. One of the men pulled out a firearm and grabbed the man's necklace.

That's when the coach turned the tables, drawing his own weapon and firing at both robbers, striking both and killing one. The other man was taken to a local hospital.

The coach, who is not named in the report, had a Concealed Pistol License and is said to be cooperating with police.
