Paris Jackson, bottom left, celebrates 5AA Southern Section championship with The Buckley School.

Buckley (Sherman Oaks, Calif.) captured its first CIF Southern Section title in school history Saturday by beating Mission Prep (San Luis Obispo) in the final, 54-46.

The Griffins (24-6) now advance to the Division V state tournament, where they face Calvin Christian (Escondido) in first-round action Wednesday.

Cheering on Buckley in its title game victory was Paris Jackson — the daughter of King of Pop Michael Jackson. Paris, 14, posted a picture from MaxPreps to her Twitter account, which has over 1 million followers.

Paris is an aspiring actor and has appeared in television specials with Oprah Winfrey. According to the Huffington Post, she has been enrolled at the exclusive private school since 2010.
