Is Dorial Green-Beckham coverage too much?

The coach and adoptive dad of Dorial Green-Beckham says it's not true. The nation's No. 1 recruit has not picked his college.

CBSSports.com's Dennis Dodd spoke with Hillcrest (Springfield, Mo.) coach John Beckham this morning after a Tulsa World report said Green-Beckham has already picked Missouri.

His other finalist are Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas.

The 6-foot-6, 225 pound wide receiver has a giant signing ceremony planned for Wednesday - National Signing Day. He'll make his announcement then.

Sure, we're all clamoring to find out where the nation's next big star will shine. But how about let the lad tell the world where he's going when he wants to? It's fun to speculate and guess - see MaxPreps Football Editor Steve Spiewak's breakdown - but why rain on the kid's signing-day parade?

The reporter, in this case, said he has a good source. Why can't we wait to hear it from the ultimate source - Green-Beckham? Seems like at this time in his life, he's earned that right.
