We love it when professional athletes remember their high school roots.
Pittsburgh Steelers star LaMarr Woodley made sure the marching band
at his former high school was properly outfitted as part of its Sugar Bowl appearance Tuesday, donating 100 hooded sweatshirts to the
Saginaw (Mich.) Mighty Marchin Trojan Band.
The band will play at halftime of the game between Michigan and Virginia Tech in New Orleans. Woodley played collegiately at Michigan.
According to
The Saginaw News, the black-and-gold hoodies have the marching band name and school logo on the front. On the hood, are the words "Team Super Kick" surrounding an image of Woodley doing his signature move after a quarterback sack.
"It's good he's giving back to the community and helping us out," Saginaw clarinet player Mercedez Willis told the newspaper.
