Lynch breaks a tackle during his famous run.

Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch is probably best known for one of the most famous runs in NFL playoff history – see here – but the clip below is one of my favorite prep football videos ever.

Lynch, who leads the Seahawks into prime time tonight against the Green Bay Packers, rushed for 144 yards and scored five touchdowns in one of the most entertaining and famous games in Bay Area history, leading his Oakland Tech (Calif.) Bulldogs to a 55-47 win over Skyline (Oakland, Calif.) in the 2003 Silver Bowl to decide the Oakland Section champion.

At the Oakland Coliseum, Lynch (No. 10 in the video) clinched the win with a 46-yard touchdown late and he told CalHiSports Bay Area reporter/founder Robert Braunstein afterward he was going to find a way to repay his linemen even though he was broke.

Lynch ran as hungry then as he did in his famed 67-yard touchdown run against the Saints two seasons ago.

Of note, the quarterback on Oakland Tech that season was Josh Johnson, who was drafted by Tampa Bay and recently cut by the 49ers. Lynch and Johnson are cousins.
