Robert Weiner appears to be on his way to the University of South Florida.

Robert Weiner, who oversaw the rise of Plant (Tampa, Fla.) into one of the country's most prominent football programs, is reportedly taking an assistant coach position with the University of South Florida.

The news was first reported by Bright House Sports.

Weiner, who landed at Plant after a stint at Jesuit (Tampa, Fla.), guided Plant to state titles in 2006, 2008, 2009 and 2011, making Plant arguably the top program in Florida during that stretch.

During his tenure, Plant became one of the top producers of blue-chip talent in the Tampa area. Weiner coached the likes of collegiate stars James Wilder, Aaron Murray and Orson Charles.

In 2012, Plant finished 10-2, with its only losses coming against Curtis (River Ridge, La.) and Dr. Phillips (Orlando, Fla.).
