Jordan Payton, Oaks Christian

Jordan Payton, the nation's No. 24 recruit, has switched his commitment from California to Washington in an announcement made this afternoon.

The 6-foot-3, 200-pound Payton was a four-year starter for SoCal powerhouse Oaks Christian (Westlake Village, Calif.). He made 61 catches for 769 yards and 10 touchdowns while also recording 40 tackles on defense.

Payton is the latest recruit to drop his commitment from Cal in the wake of Tosh Lupoi leaving in favor of Washington. More dominoes could continue to fall over the next few days as a flurry of signings are sure to happen.

Defensive lineman Ellis McCarthy switched his commitment to UCLA last week, while Shaq Thompson flipped to Washington late last night.

Arik Armstead, who was nearly a done deal to Cal, now intends to sign with Oregon.
