After breaking the state's career scoring record and celebrating "Anders Broman Day" in Duluth, he climaxed an incredible week by pouring in 61 points to spark Lakeview Christian Academy (Duluth, Minn.) to a 94-79 victory over Mora (Minn.) in the championship game of the Hibbing Holiday Tournament. He drilled 11 3-pointers and finished the tournament with 142 points in three games.

* Norman Hobbie, a senior guard, scored 49 points as Manasquan (N.J.) defeated Middletown North (N.J.) 72-64. He later had 20 points, eight rebounds and six assists during a 72-45 rout of Roselle (N.J.) in the championship game of the Buc Classic. Jimmy Walsh set the title-game pace with 23 points, 24 rebounds and five blocked shots.

* Junior guard James Blackmon Jr. scored a tournament-record 45 points, but it wasn't enough as Bishop Luers (Fort Wayne, Ind.) lost to Snider (Fort Wayne, Ind.) 101-87 during the quarterfinals of the SAC Holiday Tournament. The future Indiana University recruit scored 40 of his points during an explosive second half to break the previous record of 43 points by current Ohio State star Deshaun Thomas.
