In the case of the boys basketball powerhouse at Findlay Prep (Henderson, Nev.), the rich got richer this weekend with an assist from the NBA draft.

Craig Victor of St. Augustine (New Orleans, La.), who is rated the No. 1 rising senior in his state, announced that he is transferring to Findlay Prep. He also considered Montverde Academy (Montverde, Fla.).

The 6-foot-8, 200-pound forward told the New Orleans Times-Picayune that when former Findlay Prep star Anthony Bennett was chosen No. 1 in the NBA draft, "That really opened my eyes. They have been recruiting me for a long time. As I developed and my skills developed, more opportunities have come my way. I just want to thank God once again, because this was a great opportunity that came my way and I just took advantage of it."

As a junior, Victor averaged 14.1 points, 11.3 rebounds, 3.0 blocks and shot 60 percent from the field while helping St. Augustine reach the Class 4A state quarterfinals.

He said he is considering scholarship offers from LSU, Arizona, Oklahoma State, Kansas, Kentucky and Louisville.
