Covering High School Sports in America

This might be the craziest end to a football game this season.

According to Viva Loudoun, Briar Woods (Ashburn, Va.) led North Stafford (Va.), 27-19, with six seconds left. Faced with fourth-and-14 on the North Stafford 35-yard line, Briar Woods attempted to run out the clock without giving the ball back to North Stafford.

Briar Woods quarterback Trace McSorley sprinted backwards, trying to run out the game clock. However, he was tackled with two seconds left for a 22-yard loss, giving North Stafford one last shot.

Jalen Sarratt heaved up a Hail Mary pass for North Stafford. After being tipped, the pass fell into the hands of receiver Guy Keith, who plunged into the end zone to bring North Stafford within two, 27-25.

With no time remaining, Briar Woods was able to deny North Stafford's game-tying 2-point conversion attempt to preserve an incredible win.
