Derrick Rose hasn't played in an NBA game in a year, but he's still dominating the headlines around Chicago.
That's because Rose, a former MVP with the Chicago Bulls, is nearing a return after a devastating ACL injury during last season's playoffs.
At least, we think he is.
There have been conflicting reports about just how close Rose is to returning to the Bulls. While some think he should sit out until next season in order to get fully healthy, others point to the Bulls' surprising success this season without Rose (31-22, fifth in the Eastern Conference) and see the team going deep into the playoffs with its star point guard back in the mix.
They will get a chance to see how they stack up against the league's best tonight when they take on LeBron James and the defending champion Miami Heat in the first game of TNT's doubleheader.
While there is some debate as to whether Rose should return, there is no debate when it comes to his high school prowess. Rose starred for Simeon (Chicago)
before heading to Memphis and becoming the No. 1 overall pick in the NBA draft.
